The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is holding a job fair for People with Disabilities on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. We are hoping that you can help spread the word for us on this event. We are looking for exceptional individuals to fill entry-level Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, Life Scientist, Environmental Protection Specialist, and administrative positions using special non-competitive appointing authorities for People with Disabilities and Disabled Veterans.
Due to building security, candidates interested in attending the job fair must register in advance. The job fair will be held at 75 Hawthorne Street, San Francisco, CA 94105. Our building is located south of Market Street and the cross streets are Folsom and Howard.
We will ask Job Fair participants to bring the following:
· Photo identification
· Several copies of a resume
· 1 copy of unofficial final college transcripts reflecting all undergraduate coursework and graduate coursework (if applicable)
· Copy of DD-214 for military service credit
· 1 copy (or advance copy) of proof of disability from a licensed professional, state or private vocational rehabilitation specialist, or any Government agency that issues or provides disability benefits.
Candidates selected for positions from this job fair will be eligible for all the benefits available to permanent employees, including health and life insurance, retirement plan, Thrift Savings Plan (similar to a 401K), transit subsidy, monetary awards, within-grade increases, and yearly cost of living increases. If you are hired in a temporary position you will have limited benefits.
