COMMUNITY RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
Salary: $4,377.00 – $5,474.00
Job Description: The Community Resources Development Specialist works internally with the staff of the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and externally with our Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Program, independent living centers and other private non-profit organizations offering independent living services to improve and develop new services in California to individuals with disabilities including those with TBI. The Specialist performs such tasks as; development, certification, administration and monitoring to TBI contracts and independent living grant programs funded by DOR to ensure compliance with Federal and State requirements; provide one-on-one and/or group consultation, accounting and budgeting, fundraising; personnel management, ADA compliance; program development, expansion and evaluation, organizational planning; record keeping, confidentiality and grant writing. Participates as a leader or member of an multidisciplinary team to perform reviews ot TBI Programs and independent living centers to ensure their compliance with the standards and assurances of Title VII of the Rehabilitation Act and State requirements; prepare and present reports of finding; collect and summarize data from grantees for inclusion in DOR’s annual Federal and internal reports; represent DOR in state and local meetings and conferences. Will consider downgrading position to Associate Governmental Program Analyst level. Will Consider T&D.
