Internship opportunities for young women interested in public policy

Running Start, a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring young
women and girls to run for political office, has announced a $500,000
three-year grant from Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. The new grant will provide
internship opportunities to young women interested in public policy.

Through the Running Start/Wal-Mart’s Star Fellowship, eligible female
college students will be provided the opportunity to intern on Capitol
Hill in Washington, D.C. Each semester for the next three years,
Wal-Mart funds will provide for a stipend, housing and internship in a
female Representative or Senator’s office for outstanding female college
students.
