Position Title: Clinical Social Worker
(60% time, 24 hours a week)

UCSF Center on Deafness (UCCD) is a non-profit organization under the umbrella of Langley Porter Hospital and Clinics at UCSF. UCCD provides mental health and substance abuse services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing and late deafened. We are a strong, caring, and supportive team committed to working together in a positive atmosphere.
Position responsibilities:
We are looking for a clinician with strong clinical skills in working with children, youth, and adults in our general clinical programs. Duties will include the following:
•Providing mental health services for deaf and hard of hearing children and their families, and providing consultation with teachers
•Providing clinical services for a wide diversity of acute and chronically mentally ill deaf and hard of hearing population, services include individual, couples, family, group counseling, case management, crisis intervention, and linkages to other programs
•Work with an interdisciplinary team for case collaboration and clinical care team meetings
•Completing chart documentation timely
Qualifications:
•Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited university; possession of requirements necessary for application for licensure as determined by the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners; possess LMFT or LCSW.
•At least two years of experience with deaf and hard of hearing in a mental health setting and/or school setting
•Excellent team player
•Excellent communication skills
•Fluent ASL skill
