SALARY RANGE:                                        $26.52-$30.93/hr

Summer camp is a time-honored tradition where adventure abounds, and life-long friendships are forged. Through experiences unique to the camp environment, campers develop a new sense of self-reliance, independence, and self-worth. Founded in 1950, Enchanted Hills was the first west coast camp specifically dedicated to providing this life-changing opportunity for people who are blind.

Enchanted Hills Camp is owned and operated by San Francisco’s LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Our mission is to promote the independence, equality and self-reliance of people who are blind or have low vision.

OVERVIEW:

This team member is responsible for providing top-level end-to-end service for both internal and external customers. Key responsibilities will include providing safe, efficient, and friendly transportation for guests and team members, ensuring exceptional experiences as guest concierge, and assisting the hospitality team with event-based logistics.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • In possession of a State of California Class B license with Passenger Endorsements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial driver 
  • Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license
  • Must demonstrate good time management and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance, work ethic, and demeanor
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-departmentally
  • Ability to work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Drives shuttle, van or car up and down the scenic drive to our Mt. Vedeer camp and retreat, provides transportation around the 311-acre property, as well as to/from other locations in the Napa Valley and Greater Bay Area for special events.
  • Assist passengers on and off the vehicle as required, including loading/unloading and safely stowing packages and luggage
  • Maintains vehicle cleanliness and fuel level and reports any necessary vehicle maintenance and repairs through established channels
  • Follows all federal, state and local driving rules and regulations and immediately reports any incidents, traffic tickets, or infractions to Director of Hospitality
  • Assists in smooth operation of the hospitality department by using company vehicle to shop for food and supplies, drop off/pickup linen orders, etc. as directed by Director of Hospitality and Chef
  • Coordinates with other team members to ensure spaces are properly set up for activities and events
  • Greets guests and visitors and performs group orientations to acquaint them with the facility’s layout, amenities and established guidelines for conduct and safety
  • Supports the Event Coordinator as a point of contact for guests and visitors, anticipating needs and solving problems with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism
  • Performs various other tasks as assigned
