5:00 pm: Midweek Meditation and MovementAll students, customers, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask at all of our sites. 5:00 pm: Midweek Meditation and Movement – Between class obligations, the additional hours of homework, and many other responsibilities students have in their lives it becomes clear that a stretch break might be a good addition to the week. To help students structure a break this into their busy week the LightHouse Youth Program is starting a Midweek Meditation and Movement series. Each week our class leader, Ellie Kneer will lead us in activities that will help us feel a little more grounded through activities such as yoga, meditation, and other mindfulness exercises. Activities will be geared for all experience levels and will soon be your mid-week escape with your blind and low vision friends. Who: All students 24 years of age and younger |

6:00 pm: 30% & Growing Goes VirtualAll students, customers, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask at all of our sites. 6:00 pm: 30% & Growing Goes Virtual – We are in for a real treat this month to have a guest speaker who will make an employment related topic fun, as well as informative. The individual who hits this mark in both categories is Dr. Hoby Wedler. Dr. Wedler wears many professional hats, one of them being a blind scientist. I have asked Him to share his experience with what it takes to start your own business as a blind entrepreneur. What have been his successes? Failures? Then, of course, we will learn how his latest venture into the spice world came about! 7:00 pm: Not So Bored Game NightAll students, customers, visitors and staff are required to wear a mask at all of our sites. 7:00 pm: Not So Bored Game Night – Each month students from the LightHouse Youth Program look forward to joining us for our all-ways fun Not so Bored Game Night series. Where youth get to connect with other blind and low vision peers over games such as trivia contests, scavenger hunts and other interactive games that will have youth laughing and making friends in no time. In addition to that month’s games LightHouse staff will invite a blind or low vision guest mentor that will join us for the fun and share insight to their education, career, and life story. Programs will be held on zoom are via zoom on the third Saturday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
