Working with a cast of disabled and non-disabled performance artists, DJs, ASL interpreters and Audio Describers, this installation will transform San Francisco’s CounterPulse Theater into an environment where multiple forms of access intersect to conjure a new blueprint for what a club space can be. Accessibility: ASL Interpretation, Audio Description, Access Tour/Touch Tour/Haptic Tour, Live-captioned sound descriptions for music, chill-out space, access doulas, multiple seating options, pillows & daybeds across the party space, ADA accessible venue. The first book is Hua Hsu’s Stay True, a bracing coming-of-age story set in 1990s Berkeley. BART riders will gather for a train read-in that starts at Rockridge Station and end at Glen Park Station. They'll gather in the first car of the train to meet fellow riders, discuss the book, and read together. Expect BART and book-themed giveaways!
