So what is it? The Media and Accessible Design Laboratory (MADlab) makes a wide variety of material accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired. Producing materials in braille, large print, and audio formats, they also specialize in tactile graphic design and production with an emphasis on tactile maps. Accessible Media Specialist Frank Welte will join us to share a day in the life of the MADlab and get down to just exactly what kinds of genius they are generating. To RSVP, contact Adult Program Coordinator Serena Olsen at solsen@lighthouse-sf.org or 415-694-7316. |
