9:30 am: Stress Reduction and Meditation (online)

We offer a series of short, meditation-based practices each Wednesday morning for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for beginners and advanced practitioners, and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform—everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

Gratitude-VIBES are Visually Impaired Blind Energizing Sessions. Experience weekly presentations that motivate and rejuvenate as students share what Energizes them. Expressing gratitude is a powerful way to boost morale and build connections, even when meeting virtually. Individual check-ins and a gratitude exercise follow presentations.

Bay Are Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) Goalball Practice is a fun way to get exercise and meet new people. The practice is designed for beginners and experienced players. If you do not have your own equipment, we can provide you with both elbow and knee pads and eyeshades.

When: Wednesdays, from 6:30pm - 9:00pm
Where: The gym is located at 2100 Browning St. Berkeley

9:30 am: Little Learners Playgroup (online)

Bring your giggles and wiggles to Little Learners weekly Zoom Playgroup, Thursdays from 9:30am - 10:15am. Enjoy fun activities with your little one, ages 0-6, while learning strategies to support your child's visual, sensory, motor and concept development. Connect with other families who understand and share your experience raising a child who is blind, has low vision, or Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI). Weekly activities are designed to be accessible for all, and to build upon monthly themes that you can integrate into your family routines. All are welcome!

11:00 am: Museum of Craft & Design Mobile Art visits LightHouse (in-person)

The Museum of Craft and Design, will be pulling up in their Mobile Art Studio to join us for two sessions of our "Create in Community " art class, to offer art activations inspired by their upcoming exhibits. Meet on the 11th floor in the craft room at LightHouse San Francisco headquarters to create with new materials, unpack thought-provoking prompts and spark vibrant conversation with guest artists from a fabulous local arts institution.

Sessions stem from work with the view that we will revisit that work later in June.

The Mobile Art Studio features a collection of works showcasing the art as a means of coping with changes in the Bay Area and an artist's concept of "Concrete Journals".

2:00 pm: Tecnologia para Todos (en línea)/Technology for All (online)

Join the LightHouse’s monthly access Technology Spanish meeting. Tecnología para todos is a space where users share their knowledge and experience. Each month, we talk about services, applications and devices available for blind and low vision users.
This event will be conducted using the Zoom platform. You can connect to Zoom using a computer, an app, or by dialing in from any phone.
