The LightHouse is pleased to present an update via Zoom on the Better Market Street project, which has undergone some changes as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Join us at 4:00 pm Pacific on Thursday, November 12, to learn about the changes from representatives of San Francisco Public Works and the SFMTA.
Notable developments include:
Removal of the sidewalk level bikeway
All transit vehicles will use the Muni-only center lanes and there won’t be any curbside stops
People biking will share the curb lane with taxis, paratransit, and commercial vehicles.
These changes mean that the sidewalks will only be for people walking and transit passengers no longer have to cross the bikeway to get to the sidewalk. Transit passengers will get to and from the center boarding islands at signalized crossings.
Each of these issues will be discussed in further detail. We hope you can join us. RSVP to Scott Blanks: SBlanks@lighthouse-sf.org.
Pull up a comfy chair in our virtual living room and let's talk about all things LightHouse San Francisco! Do you think your vision is changing and you are having trouble doing things the way you used to? You may need to learn alternative techniques from our LightHouse staff. Come with your questions and together we will look for solutions. Our Adaptations Store will be on hand to talk about the latest and greatest in blindness and low vision gadgets. Maybe you can cross off a few people from your Christmas List! RSVP to Sheri Albers at email@example.com or 415-694-7331.
