  • Cardio Kickboxing Class

    Cardio Kickboxing is a full-body, strength and endurance building workout that will get you stronger, leaner, and help you move faster. Every Saturday in February, (except February 29 which has been rescheduled to March 7) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. you will have the chance to learn cardio kickboxing from a world-class instructor in our very own Fitness Room on the 11th floor. This free class starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. and an RSVP is required to Amber at asherrard@lighthouse-sf.org or 415-694-7353.

    Hands on Workshop @ LightHouse East Bay: Spring Cleaning

    In this month's Hands On Workshop, we will explore ideas and methods for organizing and sprucing up your surroundings this Spring. We will look at organization and labeling methods, and participants will create a DIY cleaning spray and labels to use at home or office.

    The Hands On Series of workshops are designed to not only provide information, but to provide hands on experience completing tasks and mastering skills. At the end of each workshop you will walk away with at least one skill that you can begin using in your life immediately. Each workshop will have a theme within the umbrella of Independent Living Skills. Themes may include; note taking, house hold projects, DIY cleaning products, make-up, household/office organization, container gardening and meal prepping just to name a few! Workshops will occur the second Mondays and Tuesdays of each month. It is not necessary to attend both workshops. Students of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome to attend. Space is limited.

    When & Where:
    Monday March 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lighthouse East Bay (3075 Adeline Street, Berkeley)
    OR
    Tuesday March 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at LightHouse Headquarters (1155 Market Street, San Francisco)

    Are you curious to learn more about guide dogs but don't know where to start? This workshop will cover how to decide if a guide dog is right for you, what skills you need before applying to schools, common misconceptions about guide dogs, how to pick a guide dog school, what to expect during the application process, and how to best prepare for school once you are accepted.     Kimm is extending her online class offerings via her private practice to the LightHouse community per the instructions below:

    • Please join the class 10-15 minutes prior in case of technical issues.

    Duration

    • All classes are 60 minutes in length.

    Donations

    Class is donation-based. Please pay what you can. No one will be turned away for a lack of funds. Recommended donations $10-$20. Make a donation.

    Password Required

    In order to create a safe space for connection with our community, a password for each meeting is required. To obtain, please do either of the following:

    So you Think you Want a Guide Dog?

    Are you curious to learn more about guide dogs but don't know where to start?
