Jun 13This event is hosted the San Francisco Public Library.
Sara Nović will discuss her book True Biz, a novel that follows a year of change for a teacher and her students at a boarding school for the Deaf, with a Q&A to follow. She holds an MFA from Columbia University in fiction and literary translation. Her first novel, Girl at War, won the American Library Association’s Alex Award and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. She is an instructor of Deaf Studies and creative writing. She lives in Pennsylvania.
This program will be in American Sign Language and an interpreter and captioning services will be provided.

Jun 14Bay Are Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) Goalball Practice is a fun way to get exercise and meet new people. The practice is designed for beginners and experienced players. If you do not have your own equipment, we can provide you with both elbow and knee pads and eyeshades.
When: Wednesdays, from 6:30pm - 9:00pm
