    We offer a series of short, meditation-based practices each Wednesday morning for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for beginners and advanced practitioners, and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform—everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

    Gratitude-VIBES are Visually Impaired Blind Energizing Sessions. Experience weekly presentations that motivate and rejuvenate as students share what Energizes them. Expressing gratitude is a powerful way to boost morale and build connections, even when meeting virtually. Individual check-ins and a gratitude exercise follow presentations.

    Public LightHouse Board meeting (hybrid)


    May 4

    Members of the public are invited to attend the May 4 meeting of the Board of Directors of San Francisco’s LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This meeting will be a hybrid meeting.

    30 minutes will be reserved for public comment. All members of the public will have up to three minutes to comment. If you would like to reserve a slot to speak, please complete the LightHouse Public Comment Sign Up form. Please submit your comments as far in advance as possible. Comments must be received before noon Pacific on Wednesday, May 3 to be included in the agenda.

    If you wish to attend this meeting in person, it will be held at LightHouse San Francisco headquarters at 1155 Market St. 10th Floor, San Francisco. Get directions to LightHouse San Francisco.

    If you are attending virtually, please fill LightHouse Public Comment and RSVP Sign Up form. Whether you plan to have a public comment or not, you will need to fill out this form in order to get the Zoom info. Zoom information will be emailed to you closer to the date of the board meeting.

    Come join us as Computer Science and Design students from Latitude High School in Oakland showcase inventions they've created, each with a specific function to assist the blind and low vision community in daily living skills.

    If you want to check out these student-designed prototypes, give your feedback, and help aid and guide these future designers and engineers, come to LightHouse San Francisco at 1155 Market Street on May 11. Your feedback is needed for them to make the necessary improvements that could forge the next most-wanted gadget in the Adaptations Store!
