Those that sign up for these monthly outings will have opportunities to make new friends, meet mentors and develop life skills that will help them be successful in other aspects of life - all while enjoying the wonderful recreation options that the Bay Area and surrounding areas have to offer. The September outing will have youth that are blind or low vision and their immediate families join students from the LightHouse Adult programs and the experienced crew from Call of the Sea for a day-long sailing adventure and potluck. Students of all ages will be participating in activities that will allow them to learn about our local waters and wildlife as well as the maritime culture and tradition. Between raising the sails and scraping the bottom of the bay students and crew will have plenty of time to make friends and enjoy the day of sailing. Who: Low vision and blind youth of all ages and their immediate family members If you wish to RSVP or have any questions about this outing, please contact Jamey Gump by Wednesday, September 25 by phone at (415)694-7372 or by email at jgump@lighthouse-sf.org. |
