We are committed to providing group and individual guidance from the fundamentals of job search, to the complexities of disclosure of one’s disability with pride and confidence, to instruction on job search techniques, to honing interview skills. Nov 11Stress Reduction & Meditation Goes Virtual
Please note that although LightHouse is closed for the holidays, this virtual class is still being held on December 22.
Each Wednesday morning we offer a series of short, meditation-based practices for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for both beginners and advanced practitioners and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform—everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco is continuing their series of highly descriptive Zoom tours led by docent Jim Kohn. Jim is extraordinarily articulate and has significant experience describing art for the blind and low vision community.Jim reports that we will be reviewing some notable and very interesting pieces of ceramics and sculpture from the permanent collection at the Legion of Honor Museum. We’ll encounter ceramics from Ancient Greece and Rome, then move on to famous marble sculptures from the Renaissance and 18th century, and conclude with several bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin, whose work is at the heart of the Legion collection, including “The Thinker,” “The Kiss,” and “The Burghers of Calais.
