LightHouse AUX Looking for BVI Participants in VotingWorks User Study
The LightHouse Accessible User Experience (AUX) team is supporting an upcoming user testing study to provide feedback on an accessible voting kiosk technology from a company called VotingWorks. We are seeking at least 16 members of our blind and low vision community who are interested to participate in this PAID, in-person 30-minute user study at the LightHouse HQ office (1155 Market St., 10th Floor, San Francisco, 94103.)
The study logistics & eligibility criteria are as follows:
1. Study dates & times: Thursday (4/30) & Friday (5/1) from 9am-1pm PT.
- Schedule a 30-minute time window to complete the study.
2. Study Requirements:
- A blind or low vision user who is at least 18 years old.
- Located in the SF Bay Area (willing to travel and join in-person at the LightHouse SF office).
- Interested in technology devices and have some familiarity with assistive tech tools/devices and accessibility features, such as screen readers, zoom/magnification tools, etc.
- Willing to test the VotingWorks kiosk with accessibility tools/features and share your past experiences using voting machines/kiosks.
3, Compensation: $50 ePayment for completing the study (sent via the Ethnio user research platform).
