What is Low Vision?
Low vision refers to sight that cannot be fully corrected with surgery, medication, eyeglasses, or contact lenses. The level of reduced vision can range from mild to severe and may impact your ability to do activities of daily living.
Low Vision Exams
Different from other eye exams
- A regular eye exam evaluates your vision and focuses on your eye health.
- A low vision exam focuses on maximizing your remaining vision. We spend more time doing a detailed refraction to check for an updated glasses prescription.
- Our team is knowledgeable and compassionate, recognizing the challenges you and your family face. We consider your goals and activities of daily living to prescribe low vision aids.
By mastering new techniques and utilizing advanced devices, you can regain confidence and live independently with sight loss.
