Those that sign up for these monthly outings will have opportunities to make new friends, meet mentors and develop life skills that will help them be successful in other aspects of life - all while enjoying the wonderful recreation options that the Bay Area and surrounding areas has to offer. In December the LightHouse Youth Program invites all families with at least one person that is blind or has low vision to join us for our annual family ice skating gathering. Families will gather at the LightHouse Headquarters at 1:30 p.m. before the short walk over to The Winter Park Ice Rink at Civic Center. Once at the ice rink families will get the chance to explore the ice with other friends from the LightHouse community. After we have had our fill of skating, students and their families will have time to hang out and warmup over hot coco with their LightHouse friends.
