Smartphones Class at LH East Bay (in-person)

LightHouse East Bay, Ed Roberts Campus, 3075 Adeline St, Berkeley

Monday, February 24 through Friday, February 28, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, daily

This week-long class is designed to introduce blind and low vision beginners to the essentials of smartphone use with accessibility in mind. Participants will explore navigation techniques using features like VoiceOver, TalkBack, low vision tools, Siri, and Google Assistant, building confidence to make calls, send texts, manage emails, schedule events, and use apps independently. Each day emphasizes hands-on practice with key tasks, along with troubleshooting support and tailored tips to adapt to individual needs.
