Safe Streets – Crossing at 8th/Market

Our final intersection crossing for Safe Streets is at 8th and Market, near LightHouse. Safe Streets is part of the Vision Zero initiative, which aims to lower the number of pedestrian-related deaths within San Francisco to zero. A few staff members and ten mobility ambassadors, all of whom are blind/low vision cane users, will be crossing this intersection for about an hour to create visibility and awareness of blind/low vision pedestrians to the many sighted pedestrians, drivers, and cyclists that come by there.
