Join Achilles for a Group Run or Walk (in-person)
Join the Bay Area chapter of Achilles in regular guided endurance workouts with fellow blind and low vision peeps – whether you prefer to run, jog, walk, or roll!
Achilles Overview: Achilles International is a global organization operating in 18 countries, including several US chapters. Its goal is to empower people with disabilities through athletic programs and social connection.
Welcoming Athletes and Guides: Achilles welcomes people of all ages living with a disability to join us for a run, jog, walk or roll. Membership is free!
SF Bay Area Chapter: Holds inclusive workouts where everyone is welcome to be paired with a volunteer guide, or chart their own course. Also supports athletes in endurance races, from local 5K races all the way up to the SF Marathon.
How to join: Email Achilles at achillessfbayarea@gmail.com to join and learn more about when and where we will be hosting Achilles workouts! Typically they are held at 9:30 am on the first and third Saturday of each month at Judah & Great Highway in San Francisco or Lake Merritt in Oakland. Please email to confirm.
