A special in-person Speak Up Skills workshop focused on building confidence in reaching out and staying connected. This interactive session uses role-play and discussion to explore ways to engage in outdoor activities, volunteer or paid work, social meetups, and neighborhood inclusion. This session will be led in person by Hannah Fairbairn, author of When You Can’t Believe Your Eyes, and co-facilitated by Sabrina. Participants will learn directly from the author while practicing real-life scenarios in a supportive, safe-to-fail environment. Designed for blind and low vision adults, this workshop builds on the Speak Up Skills quarterly six-session Zoom LightHouse series, strengthening self-advocacy, communication, and confidence in everyday interactions. Who Should Attend: Blind and low vision adults interested in expanding community involvement, including those exploring volunteer or paid work and social activities.
