Dance Together: Lesson First, Then the Party (In Person)
–
May 9
An Intergenerational Community Dance Party
When: Saturday May 9 from 1-3 PM
Where: 1155 Market Street, San Francisco, CA, 10th Floor
Begin with a guided dance lesson led by dance teacher Vanessa, then transition into an open, joyful dance party with the community. Come early to learn a few steps in a featured Afro‑Latin choreographed mixer, designed to be welcoming for all experience levels. When the signature song—“Papaoutai” by Stromae—plays during the party, jump in and rotate partners as we dance together across generations. All dance styles are welcome. Whether you’re learning for the first time or ready to move freely, this is a space to connect through music, movement, and community.
Want to help build the dance playlist? Submit a song you love by Monday, May 4 to Sbolus@lighthouse.org.
