Oct 2(1 event) 6:30 pm: LightHouse Public Board Meeting – Members of the public are invited to attend the Thursday, October 2, 2025, meeting of the Board of Directors of San Francisco’s LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This virtual meeting will be held via Zoom and will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pacific. Please Note: The meeting will start at 5:30 with the executive session until 6:30. At that time, we will resume the public agenda, which will include time for public comment. RSVP’s & Public CommentThirty (30) minutes will be reserved for public comment. Members of the public will have up to three (3) minutes to comment. If you would like to attend the virtual meeting, please complete the following form. Link: LightHouse Public Comment and RSVP Sign Up form. Whether you plan to have a public comment or not, you will need to fill out this form to get the Zoom info. Zoom information will be emailed closer to the date of the board meeting. Oct 4(1 event) 10:00 am: White Cane Day Celebration – Our 3rd annual march across the Golden Gate Bridge will take place on Saturday, October 4. This is a free event, open to all ages and all who are interested. Bring your canes, your guide dog, and your sighted allies as we all come together to celebrate the BVI community! Participants can come to the EBC or LH locations for LightHouse shuttles, or meet us at the North Vista Point. (All day) When: Oct. 31-Nov. 2 Where: Enchanted Hills Camp, Napa, CA RSVP: Retreat Weekend RSVP by Friday Oct. 10 (Space is limited) Join us for a fall weekend of relaxation, laughter, and connection at Enchanted Hills Camp. Together we’ll enjoy nature walks, art, yoga, meditation, music, and shared stories. This is a chance to highlight the creativity and spirit of our Community Services programs, whether it’s hearing a poem, moving to the beat, or simply spending time in good company. Come ready to recharge, laugh, and connect—just by being together. RSVP/Transportation:

Important Information for Our Campers At EHC, we are dedicated to ensuring every camper has a safe and enjoyable experience. While our staff is committed to providing support, it’s important that campers should be capable of independently managing daily tasks such as grooming, toileting, dressing, feeding, morning and nighttime routines (e.g., brushing teeth), and basic navigation. Our staff will offer assistance as needed. Please understand that we are unable to consistently offer one-on-one assistance to campers. Therefore, all campers must be able to manage their daily living needs with minimal aid. If additional support is necessary, campers are required to bring a personal aide. There is no charge for an aide to attend camp, but they must pass our background screening protocols. |

The events for the upcoming week are read aloud on our event hotline every Friday, which can be accessed by calling 415-694-7325.
The LightHouse is scent-free. Please abstain from wearing colognes, perfumes, or other scented products. Additionally, coffee must be securely lidded at all times and citrus should not be peeled on the premises.
