Everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

This is a BORP Adaptive Sports program in partnership with Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Join Sifu Ralf Somack for this free, 6-week online class specifically designed for the blind and low vision community. This is a pilot program and participant feedback is important. This 45-minute class will be taught seated. Tai Chi is a set of slow, gentle exercises and a form of moving meditation practiced for relaxation, health, exercise, and self -defense. In this program, you will learn the first 24 movements of the Sun style system. Sun Style is particularly well suited for people new to Tai Chi as it is easy to perform and it contains powerful Qigong influences that calm the mind and promote deep breathing.

RSVP online for Seated Tai Chi or email cynthia@borp.org.

This practice is open to all skill levels from beginner to advances. No experience is needed.

Goalball is a lively and fast-paced team sport designed for people with all levels of vision impairments. Participants play in teams of three and compete to throw a basketball-size ball embedded with bells into the opposing team’s goal. All players wear blacked-out goggles.

BORP welcomes newcomers to the sport as well as experienced players. We also encourage sighted friends and family to come and play. Teams are mixed gender, and include players ages 13 and above.

Goalball is a great way to add movement and fun into your life. Participants often develop lasting friendships and create stronger community connections. Some of BORP’s goalball athletes have participated in many national tournaments, and BORP supports participants who want to travel to tournaments.
