LightHouse understands the importance of the programs, experiences, and opportunities Enchanted Hills Camp (EHC) provides for people who are blind or have low vision. We are committed to making camp accessible regardless of financial circumstances and encourage campers and families who need assistance to explore the financial support options available.
We recognize that the cost of camp can be a barrier for many families and individuals. In 2026, 70% of EHC campers attended with a partial or full scholarship. Financial assistance is a regular and important part of making EHC accessible to our community and requesting support does not make anyone less welcome at camp.
If program fees would prevent you or your family from attending EHC, we encourage you to explore the options below or contact us to learn how we may be able to help.
Program Fees
Program fees help cover a portion of the true cost of providing EHC, These fees include staffing, food, lodging, medical support, and year-round facility upkeep.
Family Camp: $1000 for the blind or low vision camper and $250 for each additional family member)
Adult Camps (Adult Camp, Adults with Additional Disabilities, Adult Maker Camp): $2,500
Youth Camp: $2,500
Teen Camp: $2,500
How the Registration & Financial Support Process Works
To help set clear expectations, below is a high-level overview of how camp registration and financial support work together:
- Start on the Camp Sessions Page:
- Registration begins on the Enchanted Hills Camp Sessions page, where you can explore available programs.
- Complete and Submit a Session-Specific Application
- Each session has its own camp application.
- Once submitted, you will land on a payment page
- If you are able to pay the program fees in full, proceed with payment.
- If you would like to discuss financial support options with the Camp Team, close the payment page and email ehc@lighthouse-sf.org. Your application has already been received.
- Contact the Camp Team
- Send a message to the camp team to request financial support.
- The camp team will review camper applications and determine what grant funding or scholarship support LightHouse is able to offer.
- Notification of Award:
- Once funding determinations are made, applicants are notified.
- If full funding is awarded, no payment is required.
- If partial funding is awarded, applicants receive a discount code and a link to the payment portal to complete registration.
- Once funding determinations are made, applicants are notified.
Who Qualifies for Financial Support?
Our goal is not to disqualify anyone, but to partner with you to make camp accessible. We offer need-based financial support based on individual circumstances and available funding.
Financial Support Through LightHouse
LightHouse works to secure grants, donations, and other funding to help make EHC possible for campers who need financial assistance. Some campers may qualify for support based on eligibility for programs such as TANF, SNAP, or FDPIR, while others may qualify through specialized grants available to LightHouse.
Because funding sources and individual circumstances vary, we encourage anyone who needs financial assistance to contact the EHC team. We can work with you to determine what scholarship, or grant funding may be available.
Other Funding Resources
Campers and families may also be able to receive financial support from organizations outside of LightHouse. In the past, campers have worked with their Regional Center or Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) to help cover camp program fees. Others have received assistance from local Lions, Rotary, Kiwanis, or other community and service organizations.
We encourage campers and families to explore these resources when they are available, and the EHC team is happy to provide program information or other documentation that may be helpful when requesting outside funding.
The big ask we have for anyone seeking financial support is that you work with us to try to find a way to help offset the expense of camp and make camp sustainable for yourself and future campers.
