SALARY RANGE:                           $75,000-$84,000

JOB PURPOSE

The Salesforce Administrator/Developer role is a key, full-time staff position at LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired (LightHouse) in San Francisco. The Salesforce Manager reports to the Vice-president of Information Systems and has responsibility for the effective administration and development of LightHouse’s Salesforce instance, including providing direction and thought leadership on change management, support, and how to improve quality and outcomes within the Salesforce ecosystem.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education or equivalent:

  • Salesforce Administrator certificate (in good standing, required)
  • Salesforce Developer certificate (in good standing, preferred)
  • Batchelor Degree (preferred)

Experience: 

Position requires at least four years of experience with Salesforce CRM, and six years working within a systems administration capacity. The position requires an individual with clear, positive experience in working remotely and delivering projects without direct supervision.

Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities include:

  • Experience in Salesforce CRM app development with strong expertise in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Non-Profit Cloud and Force.com at an enterprise level of complexity.
  • Experience with SFDC Administrative tasks.
  • Experience with Lightning Web Components, Aura Components, Platform Events, APEX Classes, Process Builder, Triggers, Visualforce, Approval Processes, Managed Packages and Flow.
  • Experience with database design concepts and use of SOQL, SOSL, ODBC, and SQL.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, WSDL and CSS.
  • Experience with Salesforce API and Web Services (REST/SOAP/Bulk).
  • Experience with data migration, including integration, data cleansing, and import/export of large volumes of data.
  • Experience leading activities on structured team development projects.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Ability to select, adapt, and effectively use a variety of programming methods and practice Agile software development methodologies.
  • Ability to recognize and recommend needed changes in user and operations procedures including participation in code reviews.

Desired skills include:

  • Experience with ETL and integration platform.
  • Experience with software code repositories, with a preference for Git experience.
  • Experience with environment management, release management, code versioning, deployment methodologies, and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with quality assurance and QA/QC testing methods, including automated testing.
  • Strategic understanding of data design, architecture, relational databases, and data modeling.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to: Carry or transport 20lbs; sit at a desk and perform computer-intensive work for long periods of time; operate standard office equipment; travel independently.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing the daily operation of two Salesforce instances.
  • Providing oversight and leadership in the execution of projects within the Salesforce environments.
  • Provide guidance on development methodologies and code management within the Salesforce instances.
  • Execute on project tasks as directed by the Data team leader.
  • Provide feedback to plans and priorities presented to the Data team by the team leader.
  • Maintain Salesforce instances using systems administration best practices with an intent of providing the highest availability possible for the systems’ users.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor technical teams of varying skill levels.
  • Provide guidance and direction around data architecture and design.
  • Participate in team and organization tasks, including but not limited to all staff meetings, team huddles, project and milestone post-mortem reviews, and others.
  • Assist and instruct regarding data collection, migration, management, and reporting, providing instruction and guidance to other staff members in these areas.
