Back in 2001, a 72-year-old Charlie Wilson came to the LightHouse because he had begun to lose his sight and his joie de vivre. The following year his friends rallied and raised the money to send him to Enchanted Hills. Charlie came back from camp with many stories and a big smile, and he attended year after year until his passing in spring 2010.

Since 1950, Enchanted Hills Camp, a principal program of LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, has created an environment where people who are blind, visually impaired, deaf-blind and multi-disabled can achieve autonomy, develop confidence and self-esteem.
