Friday, September 6 to Saturday, September 7

During the first weekend of September LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is excited to host our next Milestone Meetup outing. The Milestones Meetup is aimed to bring LightHouse Blind and Low Vision Bay Area residents from Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers to come together and participate in a series of Meetups that are active, educational and just plain fun. 9:00 am: Let's Go For a Sail!

Sep 28

The Lighthouse is partnering with Call of the Sea for a Saturday Sail! Call of the Sea provides environmental education under sail. Experience the effects of wind and climate on a large sailing vessel called Schooner Seaward. Work in teams to haul a line and raise the sails and eat lunch with their crew to learn more about their experiences. Their crew members collectively have experience on all kinds of sailing vessels around the country and world, conducted oceanography research, and specialize in on-the-water environmental education. We will meet at the Lighthouse and travel to the ship together! Space is limited so RSVP right away by calling or emailing Amber Sherrard at (415)-694-7353 or asherrard@lighthouse-sf.org.
