Milestones MeetUp: 2019 Annual White Water Rafting and Campout Trip with ETC
Friday, September 6 to Saturday, September 7

During the first weekend of September LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is excited to host our next Milestone Meetup outing. The Milestones Meetup is aimed to bring LightHouse Blind and Low Vision Bay Area residents from Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers to come together and participate in a series of Meetups that are active, educational and just plain fun. This time around, we head up to Lotus, California for our ever-popular Whitewater Rafting Trip and Campout.

Our overnight adventure will depart from the Ed Roberts Campus in Berkeley on the afternoon of Friday, September 6 at 3 p.m. and will take us to the South Fork of the American River where we will spend the night at the Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) River Camp before a full day of whitewater rafting on Saturday. After our epic aquatic adventure with our ETC friends wraps up we will head back to the Bay Area Saturday evening by 8 p.m. This outing is sure to bring many chances for individuals that are 14 and older who are blind or have low vision to make friends and enjoy the beautiful rolling hills of California all while experiencing the excitement of whitewater rafting with trained rafting guides.

For more information about the ETC River Rafting Program please visit their website.
