Stress Reduction & Meditation Goes Virtual

Please note that although LightHouse is closed for the holidays, this virtual class is still being held on December 22.

Each Wednesday morning we offer a series of short, meditation-based practices for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for both beginners and advanced practitioners and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform—everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

Wildlife in the Bay Area: Three Birds: The sixth program in the wildlife series will focus on three special birds who are uniquely adapted for Bay Area life (and many other parts of California). Learn about the Western Bluebird, Least Tern, and Cooper’s Hawk.

Sensing the Seasons on Zoom: Summer Nature Education Retreat
Friday, May 21st and Saturday, May 22nd

As we wrap up spring and move to the longer hotter days of summer, we invite you to join us for the Summer edition of Sensing the Seasons on Zoom. Our Summer themed nature program will consist of three zoom-based classes that take place Friday, May 21st and Saturday, May 22nd. Participants will learn and discuss topics such as the tides, the moon and fire ecology. Our program this time around will also host some friendly competition over some EHC sound trivia and a virtual s’mores cook off. LightHouse students that sign up by Friday, May 14th will get a package in the mail filled with nature artifacts that LightHouse and WOLF school staff have collected that you can use to enhance your nature educational experience and gain a deeper connection to EHC and our community.

Who: LightHouse or EHC students of ALL ages
What: Virtual Enchanted Hills Nature Education Program
When: Friday, May 21st from 4:00 – 6:00 pm and Saturday, May 22nd from 10:00 – 12:00 noon and 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: from the safety of your home via Zoom meeting
RSVP: Those that sign up before Friday, May 14th will receive a package in the mail with program supplies from EHC that will enhance the program experience

5:00 pm: Community Bingo Goes Virtual

Bingo is back virtually, so break out those accessible bingo cards and enter our virtual game room for all that bingo fun with Enchanted Hills Camp volunteer Annalisa. Come for the bingo excitement, stay for the prize at the end. If you don't have cards, you can order them online at www.adaptations.org or by phone at 888-400-8933. A limited supply of accessible bingo cards are also available for free loan by contacting Jaclyne Atoigue at jatoigue@lighthouse-sf.org or call 415.694.7618 where you can also direct your RSVP and request for Zoom access details.
