1:00 pm: So You Think You Want a Guide Dog? (online)

Jul 21

Are you curious to learn more about guide dogs but don't know where to start? This workshop will cover how to decide if a guide dog is right for you, what skills you need before applying schools, common misconceptions about guide dogs, how to pick a guide dog school, what to expect during the application process, and how to best prepare for school once you are accepted.

Please RSVP to Briana Kusuma at ‪bkusuma@lighthouse-sf.org by July 15.

Note: This workshop is open to high-school aged youth and adults who are blind or have low vision and will take place online over Zoom.

Jul 21

Looking to purchase a new computer? Can't decide if Windows or MacOS is right for you? Torn between what friends and family are telling you? Join us on a virtual exploration of the pros and cons of each operating system. We will put the 2 systems in a boxing ring to compete, features to feature, function to function, and see who comes out on top! At the end, we hope to help you make that purchase decision. Join us on Tuesday, July 21st, 2020, 2:00pm to 3:30pm. This workshop will be conducted using the Zoom platform. You can connect to Zoom using a computer, an app, or by dialing in from any phone.

Zoom meeting details will be provided when you rsvp by email to: adecker@lighthouse-sf.org or by leaving a voicemail at: 415-694-7343.

Please note that we need your email address to invite you to the Zoom meeting, so RSVP via email is preferred.
