Nov 12(1 event) 1:30 pm: Virtual Tours at Legion of Honor: Works in Three Dimensions – Virtual Tours @Legion of Honor: Works in Three Dimensions Jim reports that we will be reviewing some notable and very interesting pieces of ceramics and sculpture from the permanent collection at the Legion of Honor Museum. We’ll encounter ceramics from Ancient Greece and Rome, then move on to famous marble sculptures from the Renaissance and 18th century, and conclude with several bronze sculptures by Auguste Rodin, whose work is at the heart of the Legion collection, including “The Thinker,” “The Kiss,” and “The Burghers of Calais. To help our LightHouse students of all ages do this, Lighthouse Youth Program will be hosting our next installment of the Sensing the Season's nature education retreat. The weekend program will consist of three zoom-based classes over Friday, November 20th, and Saturday, November 21st. During which participants will be learning about how flora and fauna are affected by the onset of fall, learn about recent changes to the space so many of us love, and connect with our EHC friends.
