Reel Escape Audio Description Club: Ray (online)

Oct 15

Calling all blind and low vision movie lovers of all ages to join us for our next “Reel Escape Audio Description Movie Club” gathering. This time around we gather on white cane day in October to watch the 2004 film, Ray, with audio description. A story about the life and career of the legendary rhythm and blues musician Ray Charles, from his humble beginnings in the South, where he went blind at age seven, to his meteoric rise to stardom during the 1950s and 1960s.

The program will be held Saturday, October 15 at 6:00 pm, with the movie starting shortly after all that join us for the event get a chance to say hello. Since the movie is 2 hours and 32 minutes, we will be sure to make space for and intermission and time after the film to share your thoughts about the movie. Since it is White Cane Day we will also make time to speak about our white canes and share any of our own favorite stories we have had with them.
