    Stress Reduction & Meditation Goes Virtual

    Please note that although LightHouse is closed for the holidays, this virtual class is still being held on December 22.

    Each Wednesday morning we offer a series of short, meditation-based practices for relaxation and stress reduction. The group is appropriate for both beginners and advanced practitioners and instruction is provided in all aspects of the practice. Instructor Jeffrey Schneider has more than 40 years of meditation and teaching experience. It is a virtual class using the Zoom platform—everyone is welcome as little or often as they like. Dial in, find a comfortable position, breathe deeply, clear your head, and de-stress.

    Join a fun-filled evening that will consist of all your favorite real campfire traditions, including camp’s traditional opening campfire ceremony rituals, special guest performances, and singalongs. Campfire attendees will also be informed of rebuild updates and all other camp related program offerings.

    Cozy up to your Zoom portal of choice during the cold winter months and enjoy the great East Bay outdoors from the warmth and comfort of your couch. Naturalist Michael Charnofsky will guide us through the variety of wildlife that inhabit all the different topographies of our local environment.     Although the SF Bay is much different now than 200 years ago, it is still home to a fascinating array of wildlife big and small.

    Mountain lions, ring-tailed cats, and badgers are just some of the animals we will learn about in an overview of rare and common animals of our beautiful San Francisco Bay hills.

    Birdsongs and Other Sounds of San Francisco Bay Area Wildlife: Do you know this sound? Who made it? We’ll listen to many of the most common animal sounds that you can hear in both urban and wild land areas.
