LightHouse of San Francisco may have the solutions you have been looking for. This is a safe place to bring the questions that you have been wanting to ask. The National Federation of the Blind is a nationwide community of members that believe blind people can live the lives they want. We meet online via Zoom with the following schedule:

5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Connections, a semi-structured time to get to know chapter members
6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. – Virtual Happy (Half) Hour
6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Chapter Meeting

Wildlife in the Bay Area: Three Birds: The sixth program in the wildlife series will focus on three special birds who are uniquely adapted for Bay Area life (and many other parts of California). Learn about the Western Bluebird, Least Tern, and Cooper’s Hawk.

Bingo is back virtually, so break out those accessible bingo cards and enter our virtual game room for all that bingo fun with Enchanted Hills Camp volunteer Annalisa. Come for the bingo excitement, stay for the prize at the end. If you don't have cards, you can order them online at www.adaptations.org or by phone at 888-400-8933. A limited supply of accessible bingo cards are also available for free loan by contacting Jaclyne Atoigue at jatoigue@lighthouse-sf.org or call 415.694.7618 where you can also direct your RSVP and request for Zoom access details.

Originalmente de Puerto Rico, Jeffrey viene con muchos años de experiencia enseñando estudiantes ciegos y de baja visión a mejorar su entendimiento y confianza con la tecnología. Traigan sus preguntas, amigos, y entusiasmo y pásense una tarde al comienzo de este verano con nosotros y lo que estamos seguros será una conversación excelente!

An Evening of Technology with Jeffrey Colon

When: Friday May 28, 2021 from 4:00 – 5:30 PM
Where: Via Zoom. You can use your phone, tablet, or computer to join.
Do you have questions about assistive technology? Are you interested in learning more about what types of tech training the LightHouse offers? If so, join us this May when our own assistive technology specialist, Jeffrey Colon, will be our presenter. Originally from Puerto Rico, Jeffrey has been helping blind and visually impaired students improve their technology skills during both English and Spanish classes for many years. Bring your questions, friends, and enthusiasm, and spend a summer evening as part of what will surely be a great conversation!

Únete a la reunión mensual del departamento de Tecnologías de Asistencia de LightHouse. Tecnología para Todos, es un espacio en donde los usuarios comparten sus conocimientos y experiencias. Cada mes conversamos sobre distintos servicios, aplicaciones y dispositivos disponibles para personas ciegas y con baja visión. ¡Te esperamos!

Fecha: tercer miércoles de cada mes.

Hora: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM, tiempo del pacífico.

Este evento será programado en la plataforma Zoom. Podrá acceder a Zoom desde una computadora, dispositivo móvil, o marcando directamente desde cualquier teléfono. Join the LightHouse’s monthly access Technology Spanish meeting. Tecnología para todos is a space where users share their knowledge and experience. Each month, we talk about services, applications and devices available for blind and low vision users.

This event will be conducted using the Zoom platform. You can connect to Zoom using a computer, an app, or by dialing in from any phone. Zoom meeting details will be provided when you rsvp by email to: jcolon@lighthouse-sf.org or by calling 415-694-7323.
