LightHouse Face-to-Face & Virtual Classes Available; Other Face-to-Face Services by Appointment

For the past several months, LightHouse has resumed select face-to-face classes, while maintaining safety for staff and students. The recent rise of the Omicron variant means taking a more cautious approach to direct training. Students presently working with LightHouse service professionals will individually determine on a case-by-case basis whether it is safe to maintain direct interaction, or whether they feel more comfortable switching to a virtual training program until the threat of COVID-19 transmission diminishes.

Our priority, as always, is the health and safety of all of our students and staff. We hope to be able to ramp up one-on-one trainings in the not-too-distant future. In the meantime, students already working with staff will be contacted and arrangements made for their continuing study. We look forward to being together again when it is safe for everyone to do so. 1. Hello, are you offering any virtual programs for your community while your in-person programming is paused? I work for the National Park Service, and I have a park ranger on my staff who is an excellent storyteller and has previously worked with visually groups such as Blind Faith and BORP via Zoom and over the phone.

I am wondering if you would be interested in having her present a storytelling or history program free of charge for your community? She can offer a virtual program about the history of Crissy Field, and she is prepared to discuss many other topics related to the natural and cultural history of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Please contact me at if you would like more information. Thank you! Lucien Sonder, supervisor of outreach and volunteer programs, Golden Gate National Recreation Area
