Jobsite Conversation Series to Visit Sacramento Society for the Blind. RSVP by Oct. 18 to Attend.

Each week the LightHouse is coordinating a group of individuals to meet with their employed counterparts working for the Bay Area’s leading businesses and institutions.

Our next jobsite excursion will take place on Wednesday, October 19th. We will be visiting Joseph Hamilton, Access News Coordinator at Sacramento Society for the Blind.

Joseph was born blind due to exposure to rubella. After graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in English, he moved to Sacramento to coordinate Access News at the Sacramento Society for the Blind. Joseph’s program ensures easy access to newspapers, magazines and newsletters via one’s telephone.

Outside of work, Joe is a self-described “goalball geek” and a current member of the U.S. men’s Paralympic goalball team. He is also polishing up his public speaking skills in hopes of becoming either a motivational speaker or a stand-up comedian.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, October 18th, as space is limited.
