Veterans who are blind, visually impaired or have physical disabilities are invited to participate in a day of adapted sports on Thursday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at the Samuel C. Pannell Community Center & River Cats Independence Field in Sacramento.
Organized by the United States Olympic Committee’s Paralympic Division, in partnership with the City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation and the Paralympic Sport Club of Sacramento, the event includes the following activities: rock climbing, shot put, javelin, wheelchair softball, wheelchair basketball, discus, tandem cycling, handcycling, swimming and scuba diving.
A complimentary boxed lunch will be provided for participants and coaches. Registration is required.
