When was your first Cycle for Sight? My first Cycle for sight was two years ago, April 2014.

Why do you love riding in Cycle for Sight? Biking is fun in general, but I love riding Cycle for Sight because because it supports our local veterans and the Lighthouse in a fun, interactive way.  I love the Lighthouse crew because they let everyone ride at their comfort pace.  Also, the wine after is a nice motivator.

What’s your best cycling memory? My best memory was riding a tandem for the first time with one of my friends who has low vision.  Figuring out how to get our tandem going was a telling experience.

What’s your favorite quote? “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better, it’s not.” -Dr. Seuss, The Lorax

When was your first Cycle for Sight? I haven’t ridden in many. The first was probably about 10 years ago.

Why do you love riding in Cycle for Sight? I love the busy group atmosphere of the ride. It is very entertaining and very casual.

What’s your best cycling memory? I remember twice missing the 25 mile turn-off and riding an extra 10 miles.

What’s your favorite quote? “Starve the ego, feed the soul.”

When was your first Cycle for Sight? 1993

Why do you love riding in Cycle for Sight?       I love the feel of community and support that the city of Napa and Napa Rotary provides by hosting this event, my love of cycling and the thrill of introducing our blind community to tandem cycling.

What’s your best cycling memory?       Riding with a  member of our youth program on tandem. He brought his boom box (a 90’s thing) and strapped it to the bike so we could listen to hip hop/rap music along the 25 mile ride – I don’t think the other riders were quite ready for our choice in music that day.

What’s your favorite quote?     “EHC is the Place to Be.”
