LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired is a nonprofit, charitable organization with a mission to promote independence, equality and self-reliance for people who are blind or visually impaired through rehabilitation training and relevant services, such as access to employment, education, government, information, recreation, transportation and the environment. The LightHouse is client focused and encourages teamwork, mutual respect, accountability, open-mindedness and excellent internal communications.
The many purposes of this web site include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide information to the general public about LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s. mission;
- Provide information to those who might have need of our services;
- Solicit volunteers to support LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s programs and services
- Solicit contributions to support LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired’s programs and operations.
Information We Collect
LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired may collect anonymous information about users who visit our site and compile this anonymous information for statistical analysis. For instance, we may use it to determine usage patterns so we know which parts of our site are popular.
LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired collects personally identifiable information only when you voluntarily provide it to us on our site, such as when you register, sign up to receive emails, make purchases or donations, or complete applications.
