What is Non-24 Sleep-Wake Disorder?

Jan 27

Leslie McNeil of Vanda Pharmaceuticals will be joining the LightHouse on Friday, January 26 from 6-7 PM and again on Saturday January 27 from 10-11 AM to inform us about non-24 Circadian sleep-wake disorder.

What is Non-24 Sleep-Wake Disorder?

Non-24 is a serious, chronic circadian rhythm disorder that's very common in people who are totally blind. It causes nighttime sleep problems and a wide range of daytime difficulties, including an overwhelming urge to sleep during the day that can affect your ability to do everyday tasks or activities — at work, school, or in social settings. This website will help you understand Non-24, help you manage its impact on your life, and give you the information you need to talk about it with family, friends, and doctors.

Please join us for one of these opportunities and bring all your burning questions about Non-24 Circadian Sleep-Wake Disorder to our knowledgeable representative from Vanda Pharmaceuticals January 26 or 27.  RSVP to Adult Program coordinator Serena Olsen at solsen@lighthouse-sf.org or 415-694-7316.
