Safe Streets – Second Crossing at 18th/Castro

Our second intersection crossing for Safe Streets is at 18th and Castro. Safe Streets is part of the Vision Zero initiative, which aims to lower the number of pedestrian-related deaths within San Francisco to zero. A few staff members and ten mobility ambassadors, all of whom are blind/low vision cane users, will be crossing this intersection for about an hour to create visibility and awareness of blind/low vision pedestrians to the many sighted pedestrians, drivers, and cyclists that come by there.
