LightHouse Guest Speaker Series: What is Non-24 Sleep-Wake Disorder?

Jun 12

Leslie McNeil of Vanda Pharmaceuticals will be joining the LightHouse Speaker Series on Monday, June 12th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM to inform us about non-24 Circadian sleep-wake disorder.

What is Non-24 Sleep-Wake Disorder?

Non-24 is a serious, chronic circadian rhythm disorder that's very common in people who are totally blind. It causes nighttime sleep problems and a wide range of daytime difficulties, including an overwhelming urge to sleep during the day that can affect your ability to do everyday tasks or activities — at work, school, or in social settings. This website will help you understand Non-24, help you manage its impact on your life, and give you the information you need to talk about it with family, friends, and doctors.

Please join us for the LightHouse Speaker Series and bring all your burning questions about Non-24 Circadian Sleep-Wake Disorder to our representative from Vanda Pharmaceuticals. RSVPs greatly appreciated to Evening & Weekend Program coordinator Serena Olsen at solsen@lighthouse-sf.org or 415-694-7316.
