Guest Speaker Series: Tony Fletcher, EHC Rises From the Ashes

Mar 12

Set in the beautiful mountains of Napa, Enchanted Hills Camp (EHC) opened in 1950 and has served generations of blind and low-vision campers and their families. Under the guidance of Camp Director Tony Fletcher, EHC is a year-round hub of activity that includes all the camp activities you’d expect—hiking, archery, swimming, horseback riding, arts & crafts, and campfires, and so much more—chemistry, professional retreats, music making, and wood crafting and other fine arts. EHC was badly damaged in the October fires that ravaged the North Bay last year and has been quietly rising from the ashes like a phoenix. Despite widespread fears that there may not be camp sessions for sometime to come, EHC celebrated the renewal of camp activity the first weekend of February with a Woodworking with Wurtzel workshop and is very excited to announce the opening of registration for modified camp sessions for 2018.  EHC is still the place to be—come connect with Tony to hear about what life at camp has been like for the last four months and the outlook for camp sessions to come. To RSVP, contact Adult Program Coordinator Serena Olsen at solsen@lighthouse-sf.org or 415-694-7316.
