Guest Speaker Series: Senior Financial Abuse Awareness Monday, June 11, 1-1:30 PM June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month in California and World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is June 15. The Department on Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is partnering with a variety of community partners to raise awareness during the month of June about the signs of elder abuse and will specifically be educating on recognizing signs of financial abuse—scams that target older/disabled adults, and strategies for preventing financial exploitation.
