The LightHouse Youth Program invites you and your family to join us for an invigorating stroll across the world famous Golden Gate Bridge. Students will gather at Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center at 11:00 a,m. The 3.5-mile round trip journey will include a stop on the north end of the bridge for families to have a picnic lunch before we start the return trip. The fun relaxing stroll should wrap up no later than 3:00pm.
Who: Any family with at least one person how is blind or has low vision
What: walk the Golden Gate Bridge
When: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 13th
Where: We are asking families to meet at Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center on the south end of the bridge. For those that wish to travel with a group from the LightHouse using public transportation to travel to and from the Golden Gate Bridge we ask that you gather no later than 10:00 am in the 10th floor lobby of the LightHouse headquarters.
Waiver: Each participant must complete a LightHouse Youth Program Application, if you have not done so already.
Things to bring: lots of water, picnic lunch for yourself and your family, warm layers of clothing, sun screen, any mobility aids that may assist you in your travel
Cost: FREE (Picnic lunch not included)
