Catasta Gallery, in conjunction with LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, along with Bella Pelle Salon would like to welcome Bay Area art lovers to our first Thursday celebration at Bella Pelle 9 Maiden Lane, San Francisco, CA 94108.

Beacon will display works of art created by visually impaired and disabled artists. The show will highlight an array of multimedia works of art made by students from the LightHouse and CCSF students based at the LightHouse. Works will be on display all month. Each piece is meant to be experienced and not simply viewed. The use of all senses to enjoy the pieces is not only recommended but encouraged.

Artist reception in on Thursday, June 4th, between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. Come join us to have a fun time for a fun cause. Proceeds of art sales will directly support both the artists and LightHouse’s Insights juried art exhibition of works by artists who are blind or visually impaired, on view at the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery in City Hall in Fall 2009. Specials on select Bella Pelle services will be available during the reception.
