Join us for our Grand Opening Parade and Celebration
To celebrate the Grand Opening of the LightHouse’s new headquarters, we are inviting the vast extended LightHouse community to participate in some exciting events on Friday, June 10.
We will start the day with speeches on the east steps of City Hall. A marching band will lead our “Blind & Proud” Parade down Van Ness and Market Streets to our new headquarters at 1155 Market Street. We will end there with an open house, where we will showcase our new facilities, the unique design elements we’ve invented for the blind and have some hands-on interactive demos.
Schedule of events:
11 AM: Speeches on the steps of San Francisco City Hall (Polk Street side)
12 PM: Parade commences from City Hall, down Van Ness Ave., onto Market Street, and finishes at the New LightHouse (1155 Market)
1:30 PM: LightHouse OpenHouse begins at the LightHouse’s 10th Floor – including live music, delicious food, and exhibitions from LightHouse staff and friends
