Attention all poets among LightHouse volunteers and clients–help us raise funds and win our own LightHouse Los Lonely Boys theme song!
The CTK Foundation, based in Austin Texas, has a funding program called Heart and Soul. The Heart and Soul program encourages the submission of a 4 to 8 line poem, expressing the heart of an organization’s service mission. The winning poem’s organization will receive a $10,000 grant and will have a song produced by the Los Lonely Boys to help the organization publicize its mission.
To send in a poem for consideration, please email your submission to Cherie Colmenares, Development Assistant at ccolmenares@lighthouse-sf.org by August 10, 2009. Again, the poem should be 4 to 8 lines long and speak to heart of the LightHouse mission. We’ll choose the poem to submit on behalf of the LightHouse with the assistance of a small staff and/or volunteer committee.
